- As of the 29th of December "Sing Along With Johnny", one of 2RRR's longest serving and most popular indie music programmes will be winding up. The host Matt Curley, has been hosting "Sing Along With Johnny", as it is now known, since it was first broadcast back in November 1990. The "Sing Along With Johnny" tradition of showcasing a particular artist or group has remained constant, and continued when SAWJ changed timeslots in mid 2000, to Saturday evening 9 - 10pm. The last show broadcast will be a special on one of Matt's favourite bands - The Pixies - and the theme will continue on into "The R Zone" - Saturday 10pm - 1:30am. |
