Society for Neuroscience | Brain ... (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - Society for Neuroscience | Brain Briefings: "For an introduction to Neuroscience, please visit What is Neuroscience? You can find more information about neuroscience in the Brain Backgrounders section, which includes articles that answer basic neuroscience questions and definitions for common neuroscience terms. " [Christine Olmstead's Radio Weblog] See, now there's 2 more links to the Society for Neuroscience, and one more link to your weblog...in the world of Google this can be interesting... |

Your Stories Page is in a well known location (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - This is generated by the news aggregator. It has no "link" to "Easter Eggs." There is currently no view from my public page to show "Stories" and therefore cite myself. There is no way to cite "Easter Eggs" yet because we have not had the "path" discussion. This entry is a test of the cross-link function to see if I understand it. |

Why have permalinks? (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - Your weblog will only contain the last "n" posts (controlled on preferences page Weblog: How many days...) based on the number of days you specify. The posts for each day are stored in daily files, so you can always get back to any post. That's one of the things you can do with the calendar. |

This is the continuation of the mail (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - Created story, but there seems to be no clever way to link it here. How do I "cite" myself? [Christine Olmstead's Radio Weblog] Right above here is the link to your "question"...and my answer follows here. The citation (if you want to call it that) is a live link back to where you asked the question... |

The Good Stuff (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - This is a complete? listing of Russ Lipton's documentation...all built in Radio. I hope that some of these links will help as well. |

How to cross-link (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - In your news aggregator, on the far right of each "link"/"item"/whatever is a little button called "POST". If you click on it you get a posting page with a link already set up. Just try it a couple of times... News Aggregator...Post button... |

Easter Eggs (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - There is no shortcut way to linking to your stories - yet. It is on the list of things that they are going to do...then you will just need to include the title of the story in quotes like "Easter Eggs". Until then, Radio will put them in your stories folder. You'll have to find the path to the file the hard way... |

Until I acquire the "bookmarklet" ... (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - Until I acquire the "bookmarklet" that spangs directly into Radio, I can do the obvious thing of browsing in a separate window and using cut & paste. Is there any reason not to do it that way? [Christine Olmstead's Radio Weblog] Look down this page a bit and find the link to Radio Express. We should start you with that from the beginning. |

RadioExpress (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - "Download the file here and save it in the www/system/pages/ directory of your R8 installation. Then open this page to see the editing form and install the bookmarklet." Here's the page for Radio Express. |

Christine at the Gates of Hell 1-1 (Aug 03 2002 21:41 GMT) - This is a plain text file that I saved in a special place in the Radio file hierarchy. Notice that it is actually being linked to on the public side of my web log (only in your special category). You can put files into your web space as well... I need to turn on the Title and Link stuff for your category. It is darned hard to find the documentation for this stupid stuff! |
