- I feel bad for already missing a day. But it couldn't be helped because I was attending to my internship yesterday, then I forgot to get off the train, being so engrossed in travel brochures, so that I exhausted myself getting home. And it was the first true day of summer, the kind of blinding heat that saps all your energy standing outside for five minutes. The air was heavy and fragrant and last night I could hear the bats and the evening birds. And my heart jumped to hear them.
