- Beyond just raising funds for our community, the "UUUS" auction is also dedicated to provide money for other institutions in our Greater community. The last auction gave money to the Art Center's summer programs for kids. About a year ago, I proposed that we fund the Saturday Cinema at the Avalon. A very large number of UUUS members regularly attend these Independent/Foreign/Art films. This is a program has had a very successful first two seasons, and the demographics of who goes to these movies matches our UUUS members. |
