- Before Christmas, on the 22nd, we had my inlaws around plus T's brother and his girlfriend. We made them a big roast dinner (Chickens, potatoes, kumara, carrot, gravy, peas with mint and green beans cooked then fried with hazelnuts and Olivani) plus dessert (fruit salad with vanilla bean and lemon syrup, ice cream) and Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. It went really well. T did most of the cooking, he is so organised and always amazes me. I cut myself chopping pears for the fruit salad.
