- Why Perforce is Great #1 - No Sweat Administration One of my 'hats' at work is Source Control Administrator (I know, I know, but someone's got to do it ;) ), and we use Perforce. So when 'upgrade' time comes around (like it just did - they released version 2002.2), I know its not going to be a problem - people can upgrade their clients (Windows and UNIX) as they want, and I can upgrade the server when I want and know that things will Just Work, no matter what order they happen in. And sure enough, when I did the upgrade of the server tonight I scheduled an hour and it took 30 minutes. |
