- After finishing "Linked", I got more intrigued in networks and the applications everywhere around us. Especially the application in neurology, epidemiology and Internet traffic interested me. A lot of the statistics applied in epidemiology use the concepts of networks, but with a better integration of the science of networks, epidemiology will certainly benefit. Canon D10 (Mar 31 2003 12:47 GMT) - Never check to see if you've been paid just before you go shopping at lunchtime. Everywhere had Canon D10s for sale (and in stock!) and it was really hard to avoid buying one. I did manage it though, something about grand and a half impulse buys being really, really bad. |

VMware Tips (Mar 31 2003 12:46 GMT) - A couple of VMware tips to start off the morning: Before upgrading to the beta of version 4, open up any suspended virtual machines and shut them down cleanly. VMs suspended in version 3.2 cannot be resumed in version 4. The suspend state will be lost and the guest operating system will treat the subsequent power up as an unplanned shutdown. |
