Apple 12in PowerBook G4 (Apr 01 2003 20:56 GMT) - Tony Smith of The Register has a very good review of Apple's smallest PowerBook: It's easy to be impressed by a new computer when you've only had it for a few days. It still smells fresh, nothing's been spilt on the keyboard, it still looks shiny. And none of the... |

scotland (Apr 01 2003 20:54 GMT) - i went to scotland today, aberdeen to be precise-- and very nice it was too. it was my first ever trip north of the border, so i didn't really know to expect to be honest, men in kilts? alas not, however i did have a little trouble deciphering what the taxi driver was saying, but we did get to where i wanted to go, which was good. i also found out during the return flight that a friend i used to work with in woolworths a few years ago is now an air stewardess for british airways. how cool is that. |

coldplay and feeder tickets (Apr 01 2003 20:54 GMT) - it's going to be the most ultimate show possible-- ever, and it's happening on april 16 at earls court, and i've got standing tickets, and yes it's been sold out for months [thank you ebay for the bargain]. coldplay with feeder and ian mcculloch, but we only really care about coldplay and more importantly feeder [sorry ian]. this will be the third time that i've seen both band, and rather impressively [i think] the uk will also be the third different country that i've seen coldplay in. it will also be the third time this year that i've seen feeder, at one point we were going to try and see them in every month in 2003, but march didn't really work out and i can't see us going all the way to japan next month either. |

I think this one's mostly filler (Apr 01 2003 20:50 GMT) - [Unfortunately, as Giles is still recovering from a rather cruel April Fools prank involving a packet of instant noodles, a can of tuna, and thirty six mummified cats, there will be no edition of Life on Earth today. Instead, here's a repeat of the classic British drama 'A Voyage Round My Father'] Son: Dad? Father: |

Shopaholic (Apr 01 2003 20:49 GMT) - I love love love to shop online. If I don't have to go into a actual store to buy something I'm perfectly happy with that. It's my preferred way of doing business. I love that it comes to my door and I can send it back if I don't like it - which luckily is a rare thing when I order something online. What makes me sad is when a store I love or a brand I love doesn't have an online store or they just have a coming soon page, so you can't even look at their products online.... |

It is time to come out and take back what is rightfully ours as a people! Our individualisms have been jeopardized! Our french fries have been obliterated! How much longer must we sit under this regime of idiocrats as they pluck the very essences of Americanisms from our glorious plume of freedoms? |

My Dream Aggregator (Apr 01 2003 20:49 GMT) - In response to my previous post on aggregators, David commented: Sounds like what you need is a client/server Remoting based aggregator set. Where you have a server running at home that downloads all the feeds, and then you have multiple clients that just grab the stuff. Exactly. What I kind of had in mind was something that runs and collects whatever feeds I'm subscribed to. |
