Live from Okinawa (Apr 22 2003 04:59 GMT) - The quick drive-by update: Had one of the best steak dinners of our lives last night. It would be really easy to spend a lot of money shopping in Japan. Somehow, we've managed to not have sushi yet. Today. |

Today was a good day. ... (Apr 22 2003 04:59 GMT) - Today was a good day. Got in to work early, left early, and have been taking care of a bunch of stuff at home. I just sat down to relax about 30 minutes ago and I started thinking about work, imagining a worst case scenario ....being severenced. I was trying to imagine what I would be feeling, what I would do if I could afford to take a year off, 6 months off, even 3 months off. |

new.blogger.possibilities (Apr 22 2003 04:56 GMT) - The good news is that the preview of the new version of Blogger includes new tags that allow you to include links to your archives in your main page and archive pages without resorting to messy javascript (harrumph). The bad news is that so far, based on the preview, it appears that you will still be getting the same old 01/01/1980 - 01/07/1980 style of dates in your links. I've got much more to say about it, but mostly I'll be talking to myself. Follow along if you want. |

Now I take it few TAR readers will be in Helsinki for the summer - I'll be about as far away from it as one can be in marvellous Melbourne. But the syllabus is still worth browsing for the annotated, and opinionated, bibliography. Most of the papers there will be pretty well known (i.e. |
