Orange Chicken (Apr 25 2003 23:59 GMT) - We've done the lemon chicken thing before, tonight we go with orange chicken. Fresh orange juice also serves as inspiration for this simple yet delicious dish. We still have some leftover wild rice from a previous chicken meal, so we re-heat that tonight as well. |

sleepyness (Apr 25 2003 23:59 GMT) - I've been so wiped out this week. Getting roughly 5 hours of sleep a night which just isn't enough. So, last night Mizzy really wanted to go Bowling, and it's too far for her to walk with her bad knees really. So I took her an hung out in the car, intending to read or code and nap. Well I coded a little (I made ListfulThinking remember the last list you had open for the next tie you run it) but my head went all woozy so I tried to take a nap. |

New Technical Rescue Modules Revolutionize Emergency Response Capabilities (Apr 25 2003 23:58 GMT) - Spear Trucks custom designs equipment storage modules for technical rescue, emergency action and other response situations. Traditional storage has been trailers or high cost cab-and-chassis units where the expense has kept fire departments and other emergency responders from having specialized, quick response equipment storage areas. These specialized container 'pods' may be custom outfitted, and load/unload from a truck in less than 3 minutes. [PRWEB Apr 25, 2003] |

The Biped of Frilly Lacy Lamb Chop Land (Apr 25 2003 23:58 GMT) - There is a special land I send all the lamb chops I save from certain intestinal travesties to. It?s a secret place, full of all the fond things in life. I call the place Frilly Lacy Lamb Chop Land... Recently I performed a marvellous feat at a cook out in South Carolina and saved a multi-pack of 23 from the carnivorous flames of a family of 5. |

Democracy Only When it Suits the Cause (Apr 25 2003 23:56 GMT) - Random Nuclear Strikes points out this example of how some people only support democracy when they get their own way. In Georgia some fear allowing the state to vote on the Confederate flag issue: "But white Democrats in urban areas, as well as all black Democrats, generally oppose the idea of a referendum. They fear that if the decision is left up to the public, the Confederate battle flag sometimes called the "Southern Cross" will once again be on Georgia's flag, as it... |

Ted Turner Calls Rupert a WarMonger (Apr 25 2003 23:56 GMT) - Ted Turner said on Thursday too few people owned too many media organizations and called rival media baron Rupert Murdoch a warmonger for what he said was Murdoch's promotion of the U.S. war in Iraq. Asked by an audience member for his thoughts on Fox's larger ratings share than CNN's, Turner said, "Just because your ratings are bigger doesn't mean you're better." "It's not how big you are, it's how good you are that really counts," Turner said, drawing hoots from... |

Bad News for Environmentalists (Apr 25 2003 23:56 GMT) - Spring is a wonderful time of year. Flowers bloom, the sun shines, school draws closer to an end and leftists gather to complain about global warming. Due to the recent cold weather weve been experiencing, these environmentalists will have a tougher sell this year. Perhaps a greater death nail in their coffin is a recent study by Harvard University that proves that it was warmer in the middle ages than it is today. This is a significant conclusion for these environmentalists claim... |

Republicans Take Aim at the 40-hour Work Week (Apr 25 2003 23:56 GMT) - While the public is still preoccupied with Iraq, the war at home is getting worse. The Bush administration is leading the charge with proposed new rules that will erode the 40-hour workweek and affect more than 80 million workers now protected by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The proposed Bush rules, which the two Republican bills codify and expand, would: - Exclude previously protected workers who were entitled to overtime by reclassifying them as managers. Companies are already using this ploy where they can get away with it. |
