Thailand's Premier Ends Drug Crackdown (Apr 30 2003 05:58 GMT) - Thailand's prime minister declared an end Wednesday to a three-month crackdown on drug trafficking that had generated international concern with hundreds of unexplained killings. Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra called the operation a major success. "We've eradicated about 90 percent" of the problem, he told reporters. |
