In Your Bedroom II (Apr 30 2003 20:59 GMT) - Where does the Constitution grant a right to privacy or a right to non-Christian sex? I can't find any place. Maybe it should, but wanting it to doesn't make it so. Wishing the authors of the Bill of Rights had written in explicit privacy protections to protect against our massive national nanny state trampling over the states is fine, but it doesn't make court decisions like Roe v. Wade good law. |

Technology to consider: Ultrawideband (Apr 30 2003 20:58 GMT) - Ultrawideband (UWB) modulation is beginning to take a stronger foothold in the wireless networking industry. While it has been used for a while by the military, UWB is now going through the necessary authorizations and developments for public and commercial use. Even thought the advancement of UWB has been somewhat slow, there's a possibility that UWB will become the "next best" technology for all types of wireless networks, including wireless LANs. |

New and Complete UDRP Database (Apr 30 2003 20:58 GMT) - An excellent new UDRP database, compiled by the Markle Foundation and University of Massachusetts Center for Information Technology and Dispute Resolution, apparently includes the full text of all UDRP decisions to date. I've only played around with the database a little bit, but it looks like a terrific new resource. The decisions have even been pre-coded into various searchable categories. Markle's press release on the new "UDRP-DB" is here. |

Blogger News Item (Apr 30 2003 20:58 GMT) - It is spring here on PEI! After the long winter, the first snow fell in November and the last only two weeks ago, the full magic of the renewing wonder of spring is pounding its way into my life. The change in light, the greening of the grass, the bird song and the warmth. Sadly, for me, for many years I worked so hard that I hardly noticed the seasons. I hardly saw anything other than the work in front of me. |

Come on you Brummies! [Amanda Vlahakis] (Apr 30 2003 20:56 GMT) - I refuse to believe that based on the Midlands Ecademy club that out of the apparently huge membership of ecademy there's only 67 brummies! My motives are selfish - my A Home Business club is almost entirely comprised of Londoners, and whilst I'm in the process of setting up an event/meet up for them, I'd love the same for those of us who work from home and are based in Birmingham - but at the moment that would mean sitting there talking to myself! Come on, you must be out there somewhere! Regards |
