Here Comes The Bride (May 31 2003 13:59 GMT) - Here Comes The BrideJune begins tomorrow -- so here come all the brides. Yoga and Yogurt (May 31 2003 13:59 GMT) - Yoga and YogurtFavorite morning things. I don't know why I forget to do them some mornings and then the day just goes to hell -- I should know better by now. Any day that starts with this and this, can't be bad. |

She could have engraved the message in stone and shipped it to me by boat via China in those 364 days. I just loved getting it. |

Good Day (May 31 2003 13:59 GMT) - Good DayThis was a very good day. Unlike the other day with my slow walk through Harvard Square, I didn't have a minute to slow down and enjoy it. Lovely weather here -- wonderful sunny weather for the most part -- but a funny splash or two of rain at the end of the day. Rain in Boston is the new snow. Every time you think you've managed to get away from it -- plunk plunk -- it's hitting you in the head again |

We'll love until...the end of time (May 31 2003 13:59 GMT) - The quality on these is absolutely horrendous, because they weren't made with professional video equipment. Rather, I was just testing out my new tripod -- so I aimed it at the TV and shot captures of our wedding video. Yeah, I'm a sap like that. So forgive the scroll and bad colors...you should get the idea anyway... |

Other (May 31 2003 13:57 GMT) - The weather changed from lovely and sunny to a complete downpour of rain. Annoying. I meant to go downtown and to my office but now I might just stay in. My Powerbook's battery has lost a lot of its capacity since the beginning of the year. I am all the way down to 1,6Ah (from almost 3Ah of the 4Ah or so original value in December). |

Huldiging PSV (May 31 2003 13:56 GMT) - Het heeft even geduurd, maar nu is het zover. Mijn kluppie PSV is eindelijk kampioen. De huldiging op het Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven heb ik, zoals vaker in de afgelopen jaren, zelf moeten missen. Omroep Brabant deed op radio en tv live verslag van de festiviteiten en dus was het alle hens aan dek. |

Blogs, Wikis and Knowledge ... (May 31 2003 13:56 GMT) - Blogs, Wikis and Knowledge Building Blogs, Wikis and Knowledge Building. By now the picture should be getting much clearer. Blogs turn people into web pages while on the other hand Wikis turn communities into webpages. In this context we need to ask the question, "How does knowledge get built when you blog as compared to knowledge getting built when you Wiki? |

Embracing The True Nature Of Patriotism (May 31 2003 13:55 GMT) - The vast majority of us agree on the objective of eradicating terrorism, but we sometimes disagree on the best means of attaining that objective. The idea is spreading that, when mortal danger threatens, we must suspend discussion and debate, rally 'round the flag, and allow the president to be the unquestioned single voice of a nation. This belief raises a couple of questions I believe history might help us answer. First: Do a democratic people have a moral obligation to cease debate and dissent in times of war? |

Straw, Powell had serious doubts over their Iraqi WMD claims (May 31 2003 13:55 GMT) - Jack Straw and his US counterpart, Colin Powell, privately expressed serious doubts about the quality of intelligence on Iraq's banned weapons programme at the very time they were publicly trumpeting it to get UN support for a war on Iraq, the Guardian has learned. Their deep concerns about the intelligence - and about claims being made by their political bosses, Tony Blair and George Bush - emerged at a private meeting between the two men shortly before a crucial UN security council session on February 5. The foreign secretary reportedly expressed concern that claims being made by Mr Blair and President Bush could not be proved. The problem, explained Mr Straw, was the lack of corroborative evidence to back up the claims. Much of the intelligence were assumptions and assessments not supported by hard facts or other sources. |

U.S. Insiders Say Iraq Intel Deliberately Skewed (May 31 2003 13:55 GMT) - WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A growing number of U.S. national security professionals are accusing the Bush administration of slanting the facts and hijacking the $30 billion intelligence apparatus to justify its rush to war in Iraq. This team, self-mockingly called the Cabal, "cherry-picked the intelligence stream" in a bid to portray Iraq as an imminent threat, said Patrick Lang, a former head of worldwide human intelligence gathering for the Defense Intelligence Agency, which coordinates military intelligence. The DIA was "exploited and abused and bypassed in the process of making the case for war in Iraq based on the presence of WMD," or weapons of mass destruction, he added in a phone interview. |
