NK multilateralism sought (May 31 2003 17:24 GMT) - UPI: The United States is working closely with its Asia allies and partners to agree on a common, multilateral approach to North Korea, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz said Saturday. Upgraded (May 31 2003 17:21 GMT) - It looks like my PowerLogix 800 MHz G3 ZIF upgrade has worked, and my beige G3 desktop is running at a spiffy 800MHz instead of the old 300MHz -- theoretically a 2.6x speed increase. I timed a fresh rebuild of GollyGee Blocks, which is about 15K lines of C++, and it took 20 minutes and 35 seconds before the upgrade and 9 minutes and 20 seconds after the upgrade. That's about a 2.3x increase, which is pretty good for something that's so dependent on disk access like compiling. |
