Missing in action (Aug 10 2003 17:59 GMT) - daily show rdf. Lisa has 3 Daily Show rss feeds. They don't validate in my "manila" based aggregator :( [Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog] It not that the don't "validate", it's that they don't exist and Manilla is trying to parse the 404 page. |

Karma (Aug 10 2003 17:58 GMT) - Its been an interesting week. Karma's a bitch sometimes and it seems that my spree on #java was enough to get me some bad karma. Sometimes lessons must be learned quickly and I have learned my lesson for the week. |

The New Generation Web Design. ... (Aug 10 2003 17:58 GMT) - The New Generation Web Design. I was just reading this article about the Fahrner Image Replacement technique and I realized that we're really entering into a cool new era of the web. If you haven't bought into the religion of CSS, then you really need to check out the CSSZenGarden which I've linked to before. It's just an inspiring display of different designs completely done using CSS. I've written about it before, but I'm once again off my ass and doing some web development and trying to think how I would want the pages to look like and am once again amazed at CSS. |

We finally have an offer on our house! (Aug 10 2003 17:58 GMT) - The real estate agent called from Ohio yesterday and told me that we finally got an offer sheet yesterday. We've been trying to sell this house for over nine months now. Ouch! The offer is lower than we ever wanted to go so we're countering and hoping that we can't meet somewhere in between which, after closing costs and the agent's commission, will leave us at about break even. So much for the hot real estate market. |

Improved productivity... (Aug 10 2003 17:51 GMT) - Microsoft has the power to increase global corporate efficiency by a single change to Outlook. Change the default meeting times to 20 minutes instead of 30 min. Make the new standard for meetings 20-40-60 bet we could all get the same done in a 20 min meeting as we do in a 30 min meeting the same for 40 versus 60.Of course this would not stop the creation of more meetings.... |
