Today he basically insulted a good chunk of his constituents by calling the recall an "insult." Perhaps before saying something like this he should consider... |

I'm so proud (Aug 11 2003 18:22 GMT) - This allegedly happened on Saturday:The abd al-Kerim family didn't have a chance. American soldiers opened fire on their car with no warning and at close quarters. They killed the father and three of the children, one of them only eight years old. Now only the mother, Anwar, and a 13-year-old daughter are alive to tell how the bullets tore through the windscreen and how they screamed for the Americans to stop. |

I had a stopover in Cheddar before heading off for the next leg of my holiday. Andy played me at Fifa 2003 on the PS2 and whooped my ass big stylee (as I believe a young person might have said two years ago). |

"I will be back." Yes, ... (Aug 11 2003 18:21 GMT) - "I will be back." Yes, he really said that, but based on his intonations, he'll never be refered to as African Strongman Charles Taylor. Taylor left Liberia for Nigeria. I'm sure he'll call Blah with suggestions on how to run the country from time to time. A recall election has been scheduled for October. |

Useit.Com: Information Pollution (Aug 11 2003 18:21 GMT) - Each little piece of useless chatter is relatively innocent, and only robs us of a few seconds. The cumulative effect, however, is much worse: we assume that most communication is equally useless and tune it out, thus missing important information that's sometimes embedded in the mess. |

Welcome Congressman Kucinich (Aug 11 2003 18:20 GMT) - As announced last week, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, candidate for President, will be guest blogging this week. He'll be posting his first post in about an hour, but in a bit of a change from the last presidential visit, he'd be eager to see questions from you that he can frame his posts around. He'd like to address at least (1) copyright policy, (2) media consolidation, (3) privacy, and (4) electronic voting, so please post questions to this entry about those issues, or any other issues you'd like to see discussed. Thank you to the Congressman for continuting this experiment. Thanks to you for making it worthwhile for him and you. |
