Further, if you follow all these rules religiously, you will even guarantee yourself a lifetime of employment, since no one but you has a hope in hell of maintaining the code. Nasty evil Gateses tricked us (Aug 12 2003 17:57 GMT) - A friend of mine just got bitch-slapped by this pretty damn hard. The attacks were coming so frequently that he couldn't stay online for more than 20 seconds without getting bounced. He's on dial-up, so that prevented him from grabbing the fix. There IS a temporary workaround though! You can go to the Component Services admin dialog in XP (start from the command line with "dcomcnfg"), drill down into component services -> Computers -> My Computer. |
