(Aug 13 2003 00:51 GMT) - News on Google Yesterday I started in on a discussion of Kottke's passing remark and fifteen examples that show, according to Kottke, "The clearest evidence yet that Google is busted." IN my previous article I outlined that there are at least three variables not considered by Mr Kottke in his rather hasty and off-the-mark statement: first, that there maybe something wrong with each of the queries Kottke uses, second that there may be no documents that are better than the Kottke documents that are brought up by such queries, or third, that sorting of the documents may be a problem due to other factors outside the control of Google Inc. |
