Blogger News Item (Aug 13 2003 07:32 GMT) - Collaborative Learning Environment Sources Book. Via Jim Sibley at UBC comes this link to an extensive 'database' of resources on a variety of different collaborative learning environments. What struck me immediately was its up-to-date nature (there's already an item about Alan-Brian-D'arcy's Merlot presentation) and it's obvious awareness of both the blogosphere and ed tech blogging activities. Which made me wonder who was behind it all and where was their blog? Turns out there a few different people involved, all of them apparently educators in South Africa. |

Blogger News Item (Aug 13 2003 07:32 GMT) - First Texas, now Colorado Yet ANOTHER state may be trying to grab the political nutcase crown from California. From Colorado Luis "Here in Denver, we are not known for goofy ballot propositions, but it looks like that's about to change. Looks like this guy got enough signatures for his "anti-stress" initiative (he wants the city to study "soothing music" and improved school lunches as stress reducers)" True, this isn't nearly on a par with the ongoing Great Texas Democrat Revolt, as yet, but I suspect the Coloradans are just getting started. |

Pirates!!! (Aug 13 2003 07:31 GMT) - Sometimes I think it would be cool to be a pirate. Not a pirate on the ocean mind you, but a pirate on Cave Run Lake here in Morehead KY. Instead of having a big boat I'll get one of those bass boats and I'll have a HUGE pirate flag! I'll go up to house boats and steal their BBQ grills and water slides off of them. And I'll say "Avast ye Hearties hand over yer Hibatchi before I send ya to the br ... |
