A better recipe for restaurant reality on TV (Aug 13 2003 07:18 GMT) - NBC's summertime series "The Restaurant" has attracted widespread media attention — stories in the nation's major newspapers as well as in Time, Newsweek and People — and its second episode was the third-most-watched TV show of the week in Los Angeles. The 2000 Ca' Marcanda Magari is a blend of 50% Merlot with 25% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Desktop Remote Control (Aug 13 2003 07:17 GMT) - Pieter mentioned UltraVNC which is his preferred method of remote control, even over xp's Remote Desktop. Now if that is the case then UltraVNC must be very souped up performance wise. We already use VNC (in different guises) for control of remote client desktops and sometimes the performance of the desktop refresh is awful - especially over a dialup connection where we can never get higher than 28.8 out of the office! Remote desktop/Terminal Services has always given us better performance, unfortunately its just limited to xp and W2k machines. |
