Designers: selling down not up (Aug 13 2003 10:49 GMT) - Politics considered helpful in the selling-your-design game. The title itself -- Make It Bigger-- refers to Paula's endless battle to help clients be able to see the design clearly, and accept it without the layers of hierarchy pissing on it (my words, not hers). By end running the hierarchy and then selling down rather than up, she is able to avoid watered-down design arriving for final approval. |

Segway taking to New York streets (Aug 13 2003 10:45 GMT) - "The New York Police Department declared Segways illegal on public streets, sidewalks or in parks last week after revealing it was testing 10 for official use -- but members of the owners group still ride. Laub - Bangkok (Aug 13 2003 10:45 GMT) - Im März erschien auf dem Ware-Label die "Tape 10"-Compilation mit Tracks von Losoul, Geoff White, Decomposed Subsonic und anderen, die sich daran versuchen durften, zeitgenössische (was auch immer das heute noch bedeutet) Photographien einer Frankfurter Galerie in Sounds umzusetzen. Auf dieser Compilation war auch der wunderschöne Track von Laub zu finden, den man nun kostenlos als mp3 herunterladen kann. |

Monohm - Weblabel (Aug 13 2003 10:45 GMT) - Monohm ist ein neues Weblabel aus Wien. Zwar sucht man dort nicht nach Künstlern um deren Tracks zu veröffentlichen, doch ist man immer daran interessiert Neues kennenzulernen. Gleich zwei tolle EPs sind bisher dort erschienen, die einem den Grundsatz "the music distributed here does not fall into one particular genre or style of electronic music" verdeutlichen.
