Let there be light (Aug 15 2003 23:59 GMT) - Quite literally, let there be light... electrity, too. Anyway, I will post about my adventure later. Right now I just wanted to apologize for the 10 days of downtime, server got moved ahead of time and no one was there to set it up. Hopefully it won't happen again. |

A finger to the North (Aug 15 2003 23:59 GMT) - The DOD announced a site for a new US missile defense system today: Adak Island. This is exactly where I expected the first 21st century land-based ABM system would go. It is the most likely of two well placed islands in Aleutians Chain extending south and west from Alaska. Adak Island is an old NSA cold war listening post and has a military airfield. |
