New Game: Bound Around (Aug 15 2003 02:59 GMT) - This is a new game I saw posted on the Dexterity forums. It's really quite engaging and somewhat addicting. You control a bouncing tennis ball around a series of obstacles and puzzles to clear a level. It's "mindful" fun. (Um as opposed to mindless) |

I feel pretty disconnected with the world, so blogging is helping me feel like I'm still part of the internet today. Oh yeah, the post! Almost forgot. |

Rank Amateur (Aug 15 2003 02:55 GMT) - In her seminal essay on weblogging, Rebecca Blood defined a weblog as "a website that is updated frequently, with new material posted at the top of the page". The definition in Sam's Wiki is similar. "Definition: A collection of resources created or selected by a person day-to-day and appearing in chronological order". Today The Economist quoted Dave Winer as having said, "The key attribute that makes a blog a blog and not some ordinary piece of web publishing is amateurism". |

Adobe Reader 6 Liposuction (Aug 15 2003 02:55 GMT) - How to use liposuction to repair Adobe Reader 6 This might be useful for trimming down the bloated pig formerly known as Acrobat Reader, but as there's no compelling (or even half-way pretending to be compelling) reason to upgrade, I'll just try to avoid it. This tip only improves load times, and has no affect on the other annoying aspects of the new version, such as the stupid fucking ads. |
