Surf the Net with Kids (Aug 15 2003 18:59 GMT) - "bjf" (via Scripting News) Surf the Net with Kids, by Barbara Feldman, a syndicated news columnist, is a site dedicated to web surfing with kids. A treasure trove of links, arranged by topics and games, Feldman has assembled what she believes is the best out there to offer kids and families in the surfing world. What makes the site an even better deal is Feldman's blog and the RSS feeds she now provides for her various news headings and letters. "It's a "guide to the hidden educational gems of the Web, written for kids, parents and teachers by syndicated columnist Barbara J Feldman." In the email announcing the new service, Ms Feldman explains, in plain language, why RSS has so much value right now. |

Blogger News Item (Aug 15 2003 18:59 GMT) - If you have a Compaq Pocket PC as I do, they I’m sure might be as irritated as I am… Why the heck when I cradle my Pocket PC and Microsoft ActiveSync kicks in to communicate with it, the ActiveSync windows has to pop-up and bother me? Why can’t it just operate quietly down in the system tray and not bother me unless there is a problem? I have to purposely close the dang thing every time I dock my Pocket PC! ARRRGH! And another thing… why can’t I ever close down ActiveSync? |
