More On Europe's Moribund Economy (Aug 18 2003 12:58 GMT) - WSJ.com - Why Europe Sags Maybe the addition of the highly educated, relatively young, low wage countries to the EU will help, as a commenter pointed out on an earlier post. I'm not so sure, though. If Germany and France won't embrace free market reforms, such as liberalization of their labor markets, the future will be bleak for the continent.ECB President Wim Duisenberg shares this sentiment. |

WOW Aggregators ! (Aug 18 2003 12:55 GMT) - To my never ending cribs, let me add the bandwidth problem too ;) I know this is not going to show up the way it should but how worse can it get when you are trying to keep track of so many blogs with a 64kbps dial up connection which times out every 5 mins. This is when i think aggregators, as a utility, time saving utility for the technically motivated will help to keep track of what's happening in the community, anytime anywhere. The funda of write from anywhere and read from anywhere was already a reality but reading something that has been posted say 2 mins back and replying to it instantaneously is really really mind blowing ! Aggregators are an amazing concept and the realisation of the actual thing, because of my desperate need right now is feels like bliss. |
