Iraq Poll (Sep 30 2003 10:48 GMT) - This link was posted over on Iraq Democracy Watch, but it doesn't seen to have gotten the notice it deserves. It is about the results of the Gallup poll conducted in Iraq, and it doesn't quite say what everyone claimed that it did. From The Washington Post Data Reveal Inaccuracies in Portrayal of Iraqis That same poll, however, found that, countrywide, only 33 percent thought they w re better off than they were before the invasion and 47 percent said they were worse off. And 94 percent said that Baghdad was a more dangerous place for them to live, a finding the administration officials did not discuss. The poll also found that 29 percent of Baghdad residents had a favorable view of the United States, while 44 percent had a negative view. |

Printed labels quotes needed [Martin Hellier] (Sep 30 2003 10:46 GMT) - Hello, I have a requirement for some rolls of printed labels. They need to be gloss, weather proof and removable (from a metal or wood surface - although they must not simply fall off). There are about 1000 labels to a roll and 40 rolls of each of the 10 different labels. I wont go into too much further detail here, and can provide full spec later, but if anyone could recommend a label printing company suitable then I would appreciate it. These have a commercial / industrial application. |

Dann wird es Zeit für ein kleines Spielchen, nämlich ein Flugzeug punktgenau auf die Landebahn aufzusetzen: Krassair (Flash). Ich habe immerhin eine Landung mit Note "9" hin bekommen! |

Az SCO szerint gyenge lábakon áll a Linuxot védő GPL (Sep 30 2003 10:45 GMT) - Az IBM és az SCO ellen a Linux kernelbe épített kódrészletek kapcsán folytatott jogi küzdelem újabb körbe lépett. Miután az IBM kiterjesztette az SCO elleni benyújtott keresetét a Linuxot is védő GPL licenc megsértésének vádjával, az SCO Group meglepő módon vágott vissza: megkérdőjelezte a szóban .. |

Chris @ 09/29/2003 09:39 AM (Sep 30 2003 10:42 GMT) - I doubt that jane, living in Rusholme, would be particularly concerned about Bradford's reputation for curry :) My dad went to University in Bradford. His only advice to me when I was picking a University was "don't go to Bradford". The Museum of the Moving Image is very cool, though. |
