NJ- Bastion of Judicial Overreaching (Sep 30 2003 15:30 GMT) - Ah, another reason to be proud to be from New Jersey. The passing of "Maggie's Law" now makes it illegal to drive while tired. Jughandles aside, this is a ridiculous idea fraught with an outstanding potential for abuse. Without a reasonable standard of measuring exhaustion (I blinked a .35 and was hit with a DWT) I'm not quite sure how anyone can actually be charged under this law. |
