3G causes headaches and nausea. And it improves your memory. (Oct 01 2003 07:59 GMT) - Just when we were starting to feel like it was safe to use our cellphones without risk of damaging our "blood-brain barrier", Dutch scientists are saying the 3G cellular radiation can cause headaches and nausea. On the otherhand, the study also showed, bizarrely, that exposure to 3G base station signals boosted "cognitive functions such as memory and response times." So your head might hurt like hell, but at least you'll be smarter. Read... |

Season 6 is the best (Oct 01 2003 07:57 GMT) - For me, Season 6 is the standout year of Seinfeld. The characters seemed to all be in top form and the plots seemed to get more intricate as well. Episodes like The Jimmy, The Label Maker, The Switch, The Doorman, The Kiss Hello, The Face Painter etc. I loved every episode in this season. I thought the show peaked this year and season 7 was a bit of a letdown. |

Reading and writing blogs (Oct 01 2003 07:56 GMT) - This week I have been using FeedDemon to read blogs. Having tried several other aggregators in the past months I think I have found my toy of desire. FeedDemon is a delight to work with, the UI is beautiful and it is full with nice little features. If I had to mention one of them, it is the way auto-discovery works. FD has an embedded browser. |

Iraqi children back to school ... (Oct 01 2003 07:55 GMT) - Iraqi children back to school This morning, millions of Iraqi children start a new school year, and they will experience some dramatic changes. For one, many run-down school buildings have been refurnished and rebuilt. In recent months, tens of thousands of local contractors, appointed by the US-led coalition, embarked on a massive programme to rebuild and refurbish. It is still under way, but as the new school year starts, more than 1,000 schools have been declared finished. Also in the curriculum there are changes, and UN agencies are busy printing 70 million new school books. |
