RDF review vocabulary (Oct 01 2003 16:42 GMT) - Danny Ayers has written up an RDF-based Review Vocabulary. I think it would work well as an interchange format for reviews, but perhaps not so well in an RSS feed. For example, the dc:creator field seems to apply to the reviewer rather than the item. The description is blank, because it can't contain the review: |

This means, the official DevDays page containing schedule and info should go live this week... But that alone can't be the reason for this post, can it? No. |

I redid the titles in ... (Oct 01 2003 16:40 GMT) - I redid the titles in anamorphic aspect ratio this morning, now it's time to put the finishing touches on it and then test test test before sending it off to the manufacturer this evening. I'm really getting my head into some new projects now, I feel like as soon as I put this project to bed I'll be able to really get to work on the new ones. This one's been fun, and we learned a lot, and I think it turned out pretty great- especially for a student film- but there's things I'd like to do differently and better on this next project. That's how it always is, when you finish something. At least for me. |

Caer Penrhos (Fieldnotes by Kammer) (Oct 01 2003 16:40 GMT) - Visited 15th August 2003: I've not walked up to this fort but I've seen it many times from the road. It looks like there's a distinctive winding path leading up to it on the south side. There were people coming down it when I took the photo, but I've no idea whether there's public access or not. The site was adapted into a motte and bailey castle during the Middle Ages (Castell Cadwaladr). |

Outsourcing Socialism (Oct 01 2003 16:39 GMT) - For years, Canadians stuck on long waiting lists for medical care have travelled south for treatment. A British High Court ruling, however, could make it official National Health Service policy to ship folks abroad if they've gone without their guaranteed care for an "undue" amount of time. (What counts as "undue" isn't yet clear.) Of course, given the relatively high death rates of patients who undergo major surgery in Britain, it may be worth the wait. |
