I don't buy the premise -- as my quotes in the article attest -- but I was happy to pass along something I found in January: Drudge's $2,350 contribution to the Republican Party. Although Drudge is the journalistic Mozart to my Saliere -- he's self-taught, laughably inept, and rich from reporting; I'm a J-school grad, reasonably competent, and out of the field -- sometimes I have to admire his achievement. |

- Redspot is targeting young people in Denmark with its wireless Internet offering (link in Danish): The service is aimed at areas that can't get DSL or other broadband access. There are a variety of tiers of service depending on what the user wants to use the connection for. The lowest level is just for chat and voice and the highest offers 2 Mbps and allows filesharing and VPN. The service is available in Aarhus but not everywhere in town. |

- A study done in the Netherlands shows that 3G base stations make people sick: It's unclear how close you'd have to stand to base stations, which are located at cellular towers, before you start getting a headache or nauseous.
