The most noteworthy of the latest additions is the Tunsten T3, a color-screen, wireless PDA that is the first to feature a display that works both in landscape, or horizontal, mode and in the typical portrait mode. |

Linksys Ships VPN Server (Oct 01 2003 18:40 GMT) - Linksys ships the WRV54G, which offers up to 50 VPN connections in an office: This $230 device could replace much more expensive equipment for managing VPNs. It handles just the IPsec-over-L2TP method, as far as I can figure out from the extremely detailed user manual. It looks like just the ticket for an office that needs robust security without the complexity of managing a high-end server. This could transform the cost and politics of VPNs.... |

Tiny linux-mips system runs on 3 watts (Oct 01 2003 18:40 GMT) - [Linux.Com] - German embedded multimedia company Mycable has released its XXS1500 embedded Linux system based on AMD's Alchemy Au1500 MIPS23 architecture system-on-chip processor. The 3-watt system is fully supported by the linux-mips kernel tree and can be used out-of-the-box in a variety of capacities, according to Mycable. |
