Devil Debuts at #2 (Oct 01 2003 18:32 GMT) - In its debut week, Dave Matthews' Some Devil has charted at #2, just behind OutKast's new release, with sales of 475,000. That's somewhat better than industry analysts had forecast. By way of perspective, that's 76% of the first-week sales of Busted Stuff. The last time that a Dave Matthews Band album charted below #1 was 1996 release Crash. On the other hand, the #2 position is considerably better than Boyd Tinsley's June solo effort, True Reflections, which debuted at #97, with sales of 10,500. |
