Hula Ho'ike 2004 by Halau Hula o Leilani (Oct 01 2003 19:23 GMT) - Kumu hula and recording artist Leilani Rivera Bond presents Halau Hula o Leilani in an exciting, colorful evening of hula kahiko and auana and Polynesian dances on Saturday, February 7, 2004, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, Lihue, Kauai at 7pm. This annual recital (ho'ike) and fundraiser features all the students in the halau based in Kapaa, Kauai and some students from Reno, NV, sharing what they have learned in the past year. Guest Hawaiian entertainers to be announced. Crafts, clothing, gift items, and food for sale from 6pm.; show starts at 7pm. |

New Face for Blosxom (Oct 01 2003 19:22 GMT) - Today I gave Blosxom a customized look to bring it into uniformity with most of my other sites namely my personal site. It took me a few attempts to get the code right then to get the look & functionality right. I still don't particularly like the way left navigation bar looks but that will be a project for another day. I do like this look better than the old look. |

Do Not Call Registry (Oct 01 2003 19:22 GMT) - Recent court decisions have put the legality of the Do Not Call Registry in question. There is the technical question of which agency has the authority to create such a listing -- FCC or FTC. That question is easily solved by passing the necessary authorization. The other question is whether it restricts the free speech of telemarketers. Although I would rather err on the side of advancing free speech, I also recognize that commerce should be regulated. |
