Well, I'm finally off to ... (Oct 02 2003 05:57 GMT) - Well, I'm finally off to the airport to pick up the Ski Boy. This is so past my bedtime. Plus I'd rather go to bed and sleep through the Red Sox-A's finish. It's less painful that way. |

Small Business Server (Oct 02 2003 05:56 GMT) - My friend Jim was telling me about the new Small Business Server today. It is apparently chock full of cool features, great integration, easy install and so on. It bundles Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003 and SQL Server (not sure which version). I need to check if this is still the case, but my main objection to SBS is that it doesn't really allow for multiple servers in the same domain. |

wagerline (Oct 02 2003 05:56 GMT) - Wagerline is a nice site I came across (via The Gambler) which allows you to create an account, and make picks (and a "unit" amount from 100 to 500) across all major sports. They have competitions you can enter, or you can just make picks to have them recorded for posterity, which are tracked both by accuracy as well as net unit gain based on an 11-for-10 line. The interface is nice, apart from a few too many flashing ads, the site is fast, and they have about 10,000 picksters registered. It appears to have been going for almost two years now. It seems like a good, low-maintenance way to track your theoretical winnings and losses, especially if you're not betting all the games you pick. |
