Idealab's New Idea: Cash Flow Positive Companies (Oct 02 2003 08:39 GMT) - Idealab was, for many, the perfect model of dot com excess in a box. It started up me-too play after me-too play on whatever topic was hot at the time, and then tried to figure out how to make money later. During the boom years, it appeared to be working. Of course, at that time, what didn't appear to be working? This convinced a bunch of greedy investors to invest a ton of money right before a planned IPO that was supposed to make them even richer than they already were. |

Script Debugger Selection to Clippings 1.0 (Oct 02 2003 08:34 GMT) - This script, after obtaining a file name from the user, will create a clipping file from the selected text of the front Script Debugger window. The clipping will be created at the root level of Script Debugger's Clippings folder. Developer note: While the script was developed in and for OS X, it might work on pre-OS X systems by using Satimage osax. I haven't explored this possibility. |

Mat och den vetenskapliga expertisen (Oct 02 2003 08:34 GMT) - Andrew Rowell, Don't worry [it's safe to eat]. The true story of GM food, BSE and foot and mouth recenseras av Mark Woolhouse, Centre for infectious diseases, University of Edinburgh, i senaste Nature. |
