Suffering together (Oct 02 2003 12:59 GMT) - Great quote from a Geffen ex-exec who's pushing for flat-fee distribution of culture [via Alf]: To act otherwise, to create digital tethers to creativity and information, would condemn much of the world's population to darkness, to outdated textbooks and third-hand inspiration. What's worse, it's the haves who will suffer alongside the have-nots, the former deprived of the creativity of the latter. |

WMD Found? (Oct 02 2003 12:57 GMT) - I'm subscribed to Crosswalk's RSS, and I just read that it's possible that the WMD's have been found! According to Crosswalk's blog, this hasn't made the major media yet. Perhaps they're waiting for better confirmation? It's not like that's stopped the media from reporting stories in the past LOL Anyway, Crosswalk is asking that Bloggers pick this story up to increase the chances that the mainstream media will cover it. I'm certainly interested in how this story develops, whether it's a valid story, or not. |

Limbaugh is Gone....Good Riddens! (Oct 02 2003 12:56 GMT) - From my Rush Limbaugh Doesn't Know Football and Mega Dittos to Rush, ESPN's Ratings Are Up posts, you probably figured out that I wasn't very happy with Rush Limbaugh's involvement with ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown. I was very surprised to wake of this morning to find that Rush Limbaugh had resigned. I guess I was wrong about his job at ESPN being more secure since the he stirred up the media with his comments about Donovan McNabb. |
