You'll pardon me if I shed no tears (Oct 02 2003 13:59 GMT) - So El Rushboob has resigned from ESPN after, as one Fark poster put it, "emergency surgery to remove his foot from his mouth." How surprising. I have not one doubt that the (Formerly)Big, Fat (But Still An) Idiot saw this coming. Probably scored him a few points with his dwindling cadre of brownshirt regulars. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy, in my opinion.... |

Essential Questions (Oct 02 2003 13:56 GMT) - It's not an avalanche by any means, but more and more I'm coming across articles and posts that are starting to make tentative steps toward answering the "big" questions about blogging and education. As much as I write about the tipping point, I think we're still a ways off from widespread adoption of Web logs in schools. (There does seem, however, to be more and more beleivers every day.) But another indicator of the seriousness of this movement will surely be the hard research that individuals or groups begin to undertake in order to provide the data that everyone craves these days as to just what effect thoughtful use of Web logs have on writing and thinking and learning. I'm starting to think that data is not too far off. |

Back in March, Limbaugh expounded on the addition of Al Gore to Apple's Board of Directors: "We use Macs here at the EIB Network. We're an entire Mac shop, and Algore, who probably wouldn't know the Internet if he was on the computer, is now a member of the Apple board of directors," Rush posted on his site.
