Google stifles free speech (Oct 05 2003 05:57 GMT) - I would never have thought I would say this, but I am really pissed at Google. They acquired Blogger, and have done some great things for the web. Many of my own visits come from Google searches. Sadly Google has grown into a net giant, and now find themselves under attacks from their own customers, users of the AdSense service. "Erik Thauvin, a well-known figure in the Java community and an Apple alumni, discovered his AdSense account was suspended this week, with Google owing him two months worth of revenue. |

Braves 6, Cubs 4 (Oct 05 2003 05:53 GMT) - The homers were flying out of the friendly confines, including two from Eric Karros and two from Chipper Jones. Karros had quite an exciting game, if you want to call it that. On a bunt play, Robert Fick threw first baseman Karros a forearm in an ugly collision. Cubs pitcher Mike Remlinger called "brutal," and Fick as much as admitted it was a revenge play: I don't really know what happened. |

PatchDayReview.com (Oct 05 2003 05:50 GMT) - I just found a great little site (via techno weenie). It is called patch day review, and it basically keeps you up to date with all the latest patches released, and their importance. This is very useful for me, because after the last bug I disabled all ActiveX controls in IE, so to goto WindowsUpdate I have to re-enable ActiveX first. Now I can see whats going on before messing with ActiveX. Also he gives nice little explanations! |
