Also now part of Andrew's tree in the Documentation/ directory are the must-fix and should-fix lists, to which Andrew explains, "This is for people to review and to hopefully raise patches against". |

- Following the announcement of a couple new security advisories [forum], Barney Wolff noted that all the advisories neglect the latest tree, currently 5.2 [forum]. He says, "This notable omission has been true of every security advisory I can remember, and I've never understood it. If I'm missing some logic that makes it the right thing to do, can somebody please enlighten me?" Security Officer Emeritus, Warner Losh, explained that historically the FreeBSD Security Officer doesn't send advisories for -current, under the assumption that users of -current are of the more capable sort able to review CVS logs themselves and determine the impact. |

RIAA Reanimating Dead Musicians (Oct 05 2003 10:59 GMT) - BBspot, Brian Briggs: RIAA Reanimating Dead Musicians To Eat Brains of File SharersIn an about face from their earlier litigious strategy, the RIAA has withdrawn all the legal complaints against file sharers, and instead has decided to reanimate musicians such as rapper Tupac Shakur or the recently deceased Johnny Cash to eat the brains of music pirates. The RIAA had approached several living artists about eating the brains of file sharers, but most were opposed to the idea. "That's when we remembered the 'reanimation clause' that's been every music contract since 1952, so everything we're doing is perfectly legal," said Fitzsimmons. |

Illicit Staff Meeting Photo (Oct 05 2003 10:56 GMT) - While in Kuwait, we had a daily staff meeting every morning at 0900. We'd go over current and future ops, get an intel brief and all that good stuff. Every day a certain O-6 would sit through the meeting picking his nose. Notice the other O-6 staring right at the camera as I take the picture. His reaction? |

(Oct 05 2003 10:56 GMT) - Diese Frage ist leicht zu beantworten, wenn man dem Perseus-Blogsurvey glauben darf: »Blogging is many things, yet the typical blog is written by a teenage girl who uses it twice a month to update her friends and classmates on happenings in her life.« In dieser Untersuchung gibt es interessante Zahlen. |
