Dave's parting session at BloggerCon 2003 (Oct 05 2003 20:19 GMT) - Dave - "Don't worry your pretty little head" - Those days of developers saying that to users are over. For next year, a 3rd day could be for developers as long as they are willing to explain to users and not just talk to developers. If you want to make money, you learn how to talk to users. You don't go to the place where you add features that the users don't or can't understand. The Sox won their game! |

Immaterial World (Oct 05 2003 20:15 GMT) - It has to be said that I live quite well. I have been fortunate to gain and use an education to secure what might be called a "comfortable" lifestyle. This is nothing to brag about, and I am not unusual in Western Europe where I might be considered Mr Average. I am white, middle class and (gulp!) middle age. |
