The enemy within A worrying ... (Oct 05 2003 23:21 GMT) - The enemy within A worrying report about the increase in extremism among Britain's young Muslims. While surely a marginal group, there is evidence that Islamism is on the rise, and they take their inspiration from Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network. Among the evidence is a video, circulating in Britain, combining hate propaganda and instructions on how to make bombs. The video, which has been viewed by The Observer, includes a 20-second sequence during which a masked man shows how a detonator can be wired together. |

Given most reporting on these subjects of late, his optimism struck us as news. |

I am possessed by a demon being. (Oct 05 2003 23:18 GMT) - There is a monster which clutches me to its bosom. Its gaze is unbreakable. It separates me from my friends, forces me to squander my free time, fills my mind with voices. It has inducted me into its tribe, its cult, its sect.
