A Simple Pasta (Oct 06 2003 23:59 GMT) - A day removed from our daughter's stomach flu, we opt for simple. We prepare some pasta as it's easy on the stomach when served plain and easy to dress up when served for the healthy among us. |

Helpline Comment (23919) (Oct 06 2003 23:59 GMT) - true, floppies don't get plugged into the BUS or a floppy card anymore. but doesn't the bus speed of a computer afftect the way things plugged into the system work? Ok when a pc/xt card doesn't work in a modern computer, it's because the chips in it may fail in a 8mhz bus. the standard ?? for isa bus. |

Look to the hills (Oct 06 2003 23:58 GMT) - When winter came back to the valley the war returned with it and the Reds pushed the Blues to the hilltops where they'd been the summer before. The fighting had gone east since October, but now it was back and for three weeks we watched in the evenings from the outskirts of the village where our main road tapers off at the foot of the mountains and the trail starts its slow switchback up to the ridge. At sundown bombs flared up in the mountains and spilled pools of orange light over the sides of the ridge, and we gasped... |
