Driving 454 miles in a ... (Oct 06 2003 12:00 GMT) - Driving 454 miles in a weekend just to go dancing is just silliy, isn't it?Gladly I am in favour of such silliness and therefore spent a large portion of the weekend spotting dead farm animals, contemplating beaver farming, discussing visiting a salt museum, miming the actions of a rabbit, sitting on a box in the back of a car pretending it was a seat, attempting to compromise Sheena's purity, looking for a number 16, not selling a single t-shirt, talking about breadmaking, practising saying 'no, I don't think so...', eating lamb-flavoured crisps, bowing to the inevitability of another doughnut, and driving, driving, drivingdrivingdriving. We fitted the odd dance in, too.You had to be there, really : |

'Countdown' crew piles on Limbaugh (Oct 06 2003 12:00 GMT) - One week after Rush Limbaugh delivered his evaluation of Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" crew took the opening minutes of Sunday's telecast to address the controversy.Limbaugh, who resigned from the program on Wednesday, said that McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed."I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL," Limbaugh said on the Sept. 28 show. "The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. |
