India sways to Bali beat: We don't need to look elsewhere - NewIndPress (Oct 07 2003 01:59 GMT) - "If the 19th Century belonged to Europe and the 20th to America, the 21st has all the makings of becoming the 'Asian century' in which India, given its size and market, will play a pivotal role. This belief, which has sustained India's Look East policy in recent years, was reaffirmed as Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee began a six-day Southeast Asia sojourn in this idyllic isle on Monday morning." |

I'll consider mirroring posts from Radio to MT until I get myself set up with an aggregator I like... |

The report explicitly states that dem... (Oct 07 2003 01:56 GMT) - The report explicitly states that demographic subgroups show the same variations, which means that the statistical differences have little or no correlation to a particular ideology. I don't see how that could be any clearer. Also, on the very first page of the report it's instantly clear that PIPA didn't ask people if they believe WMD do or do not exist in Iraq they asked people whether or not the existence of WMD has been proven either way; as Derek points out, this has not yet been proven or disproven, which means believing that there's proof either way is...a misperception. |

Re: Reading RSS Feeds (Oct 07 2003 01:55 GMT) - Thanks Martin. Guess that means I didn't require RadioUserland. The functionality I wish to better to understand is the aggregator. The ability to subscribe to different sources, and have references to the new material collected in a single package, and delivered to me. In my "research", I was unable to determine what was required. |

Wanted: A Legible Voting Ballot (Oct 07 2003 01:54 GMT) - With a record 133 candidates (post-Arianna) in the California gubernatorial race, the Oct. 7 election poses a nontrivial design challenge: How to fit all those names on the ballot? PETA gets in on the Siegfried and Roy act (Oct 07 2003 01:54 GMT) - Writes PETA Vice President Dan Mathews, "Perhaps Fridays frightening incident will make you realize that a brightly lit stage with pounding music and a screaming audience is not the natural habitat for tigers, lions, or any other exotic animals. The only natural thing that happened on that stage was that this majestic animal lashed out against a captor who was beating him with a microphone because he wouldnt do a trick. No matter how much you say that you love the wild animals whom you have confined continents away from their natural homes, you are still the men who have subjugated their wills and natures to further your own careers" (see attached). |
