Archeology (Oct 11 2003 23:35 GMT) - There are a few sidewalks in our neighborhood which have leaf prints permanently etched in their surfaces, and those are good, but the other day I noticed this one with squirrel paw prints marking the surface. I'm sure the person who poured the concrete and probably the homeowner are both cross about it but I'm pleased to have found it. |

Blogs in the Mist (Oct 11 2003 23:28 GMT) - Perry de Havilland, chief editor of the Samizdata.net blog, has an interesting article about blogs in TCS TechCentral. In it he discusses how blogs fit into the modern world and its 'information rich' environment: Blogging is important and is going to become a great deal more so as markets, media and politics adjust to the realities of an information-rich and increasingly on-line public. A blog is far more than just a format; |
