- AOL AND GOOGLE HAVE expanded their relationship. Perhaps the Google higher-ups realize that the AOL software gives Google the space it needs to store variables necessary for personalized search. Without a client-side program to manage this data (such as its toolbar, AOL or an operating system), Google will probably need a lot of storage space in order to conduct personalized searches for all of its users. Google AdWords has also released conversion tracking, which enables advertisers with Google to know when a click-through from an advertisement on Google results in a purchase.
