Comment spamming, ter (Oct 12 2003 23:55 GMT) - There seems to be a significant increase in comment spamming on weblogs. Just over the past 24 hours, I have removed 12 comments, some coming from bots, some posted manually. My IP banning list has now 19 sub-nets and I'm actively looking for an automated solution. Needless to say, I am looking forward Jay Allen's forthcoming MT-Blacklist which is supposed to make its grand appearance this Monday. I am also looking for a solution to auto-close comments after some delay, since for reasons that still escapes me, spammers usually target old entries. |

Do you want a Rolex for 15 quid ??? [Sunhil Brabhu] (Oct 12 2003 23:53 GMT) - Go somewhere else... I dont sell any watches of any sorts.. But if you look hard enough, you may just be able to buy an original Pater Phillipa for £ 20 - just ignore the made in China badge on the bezel.. But due to the work I have done recently in the area of anticounterfeit and brand protection, I have gathered some startling facts that I thought I would share with members. The areas most affected are pharmaceutical, designer merchandise (watches, jeans), currency notes, Certificates, ID cards, Passports, drivers licences, music CDs, DVDs, Computer Software packaging, auto and aviation spareparts, premium alcohol, event tickets, government bonds, share certificates, cosmetics, fashion brands, jewelry spares, electronics parts and Computer chips, agriculture produce, etc... |
