Travis USD: Local districts score well in state exit exam (Oct 12 2003 01:11 GMT) - Vacaville Unified and nearby school districts - especially Travis Unified - did better last year than the state as a whole in helping students pass the California High School Exit Exam. Scores for schools throughout the state for the 2002-03 academic year were released Friday by the California Department of Education. The test was administered six times during that period. Travis was tops among Solano County districts for English-language arts results in each student subgroup as well, with high percentages of minority, English-learner and poor students passing the exam. For example, Travis had 100 percent of Asian students passing the English-language arts portion, compared with 73 percent statewide. |

Yesterday moning I noticed a major quantity of bird poop on the Wal-Mart patio table that occupies the ramshackle back "deck" off the bedroom. That was odd, I thought, because there was little in the way of wild fruits just now that might produce such an "explosion. |
