More on OSU's Reynolds (Oct 12 2003 19:01 GMT) - Jonathan Linder of Badger Nation has an in-depth story on Wisconsin reaction to Sorgi's injury at the hands of Reynolds, including more details of how it happened. Ohio State Defensive End Will Smith defends his teammate Robert Reynolds in today's Columbus Dispatch. Other columnists and writers for the Dispatch glossed the incident over by using words like appeared or seemed or mentioned that Wisconsin objected to it as a dirty play. No one for Ohio State seemed to accept any responsibility for what was obviously a dirty play. The Toledo Blade made it sound like a normal injury situation by saying Sorgi was "hit in the neck" by Reynolds while one article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer mentions Sorgi left the game but doesn't mention Reynolds or how the injury took place. |
