I'm sure you are fully aware of the events that transpired, so there's no need to rehash them here. Our focus now is to make the BIG EAST Conference as strong as it can possibly be. We are thinking big, and the future of our conference and BC Athletics is very bright. |

ASIS agents allowed guns again (Oct 12 2003 23:41 GMT) - The Australian government is considering reversing a 20 year old decision prohibiting agents of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service - the country's CIA or MI6 equivalent - from carrying firearms. ASIS agents were banned from carrying guns following a disasterous training excercise in 1983, when officers carried out a mock hostage rescue at the Sheraton hotel in Melbourne without warning the staff or local police. The move also appears to encourage increased ASIS involvement... |
